Why Google Maps

Maps is not just the end of a search. It can be the start of an AI recommendation.

Maps information helps Google Search, Maps and AI tools such as Gemini describe your business. An incomplete profile can make your business harder to discover across those experiences.

No. 2

Google is the second most-used search engine in Korea after Naver and a key first step for international customers.

45%

In BrightLocal’s 2026 survey of 1,002 US adults, 45% reported using AI for local business recommendations, compared with 6% in its 2025 survey.

83%

Local Falcon’s February 2026 study found 83% of restaurants in its tracking sample absent from the ChatGPT results examined. This is not an estimate for all restaurants.

How ranking works

Three factors behind Google Maps rankings

Google identifies relevance, distance and prominence as the main factors in local rankings. Maps marketing means improving your profile and trust signals with those factors in mind.

Relevance

How closely your profile matches a customer's search. Categories, descriptions, services and menus need to reflect the terms customers use.

Distance

The distance between the searcher and your business. You cannot change that distance, but accurate location and area information helps clarify where your business serves customers.

Prominence

Trust signals include reviews, ratings, photos, your website and mentions elsewhere. Building this foundation takes time and can create a lasting difference in Google Maps marketing.

What we do

How we manage Google Maps marketing

Profile information

We review categories, descriptions, hours, services, menus and attributes around relevant search terms.

Review management and replies

We plan how to request reviews and reply to Korean and international reviews in your business's voice.

Photos and posts

Well-chosen photos and regular posts show customers that your business is active.

AI search readiness (AEO)

Google Maps information can inform Gemini and AI search answers. We organize your information so AI can identify and describe your business accurately.

Monthly performance reports

Review impressions, search terms, directions, calls and website clicks each month. See the numbers behind your visibility.

Policy-compliant management

We do not manipulate traffic or buy reviews. We focus on sustainable methods that avoid those policy risks.

Process

Five steps, from audit to monthly reporting.

1

Free audit

We check current Maps visibility, profile completeness and gaps against competitors using your industry and location keywords.

2

Initial profile setup

In the first month, we organize the foundations: categories, photos, hours, menus and services.

3

Manage reviews and posts

We build an ongoing routine for review requests, replies and monthly posts.

4

Connect your website and content

We link your profile to website and blog information on prices, bookings and FAQs that the profile alone cannot explain.

5

Monthly reporting and improvement

We report visibility and customer actions each month, then use search-term data to plan the next month's work.

FAQ

Google Maps marketing: frequently asked questions

How long does it take to improve Google Maps visibility?

Profile updates often begin to show in visibility data within two to four weeks. Reviews and prominence take longer to develop; for competitive local keywords, we typically review ranking changes over two to three months. Monthly reports track impressions, search terms and customer actions together.

Do you create reviews for us?

No. Buying or manipulating reviews violates Google's policies and risks profile suspension. Instead, we make it easier for real customers to leave reviews through QR codes and helpful prompts, and manage replies that build trust with future customers.

Is managing Naver Maps enough?

Naver is important for Korean customers, while international visitors often turn to Google Maps first. In areas with international visitors and residents, Google can be a key discovery channel. Maps information can also inform Gemini and other AI search experiences.

How is this different from Google Ads?

Ads provide paid visibility while they run. Maps marketing builds profile, review and content assets that remain when ads stop. They complement each other. We also manage Google Ads and use ad search-term data to guide Maps and content work.
